Situated behind our house, tucked in the corner of a 3 acre field, the Commander’s Caravan is peaceful, with country views and walks from the doorstep, but not remote with the market town of Tenbury Wells just 2 miles away and walking distance to the pub.
Living on site we are mostly close at hand if you need us, but otherwise we tend to let guests get on with enjoying there time here unhindered. You may see us pop out to check the horses, shut the chickens away or when we come to clean the hot tub, but we aim not to disturb.
The Commander’s Caravan itself has been carefully converted by us. Origionaly an Army Brokhurst trailer, it has traveled a long way from its cold war roots, and is now insulated, warm and cosy.
The work was carried out by us over a few years, using wood grown on our farm in wales for the floor and units, and sourcing as much as possible from auctions and antiques yards. Our aim was to recycle and reuse as much as possible to try and keep the footprint low and in line with our environmental ethos.
The result is homely, a little rustic, but functional, providing the perfect base to relax or explore.
