Food & Eating Out

We are lucky to be in an area with a vast choice of places to eat out and also a great culture of good local produce. Ludlow is famed for its Food Fayres and independent shops and even in Tenbury we have a great Deli, greengrocer, butcher and fish shop.  Not on mention a great choice of cider producers too, this is Orchard country after all. There re plenty of options for picking up some nice nibble to eat on the deck while the hot tub warms.

When it comes to eating out, our closest options are The Fountain Inn on Oldwood Road. It is in walking distance, about 20 minutes away if you walk. Its standard pub food and big portions! https://www.thefountainoldwood.co.uk/ And a very short walk away is Cadmore Lakeside Hotel. They offer lunches and dinners, Sunday dinners overlooking the lake, but do check if they are open as it has been sporadic although they have just redecorated the restaurant. https://www.cadmorelakeside.co.uk/

The Kings Head in Tenbury offers great Thai food. You can walk, but its about 40 minutes and along the road.  https://www.thekingsheadtw.com/

Tenbury has a good fish and chip shop, Pizza takeaway, Chinese (in “The Ship”) and India takeaways (we use Bahar) Pukka Pizza will deliver here for £5. There is also plenty of café options, The Spotty Dog Café, Rocco and Tabs Tea Room. If you want a take out breakfast bap or lunchtime butty Mikes is ideal for takeaway.

There are plenty of pubs to choose from too. The Pembroke, The Bridge, The Crow (no food) The Vaults (bit more local drinking place)

Further afield we have heard very good things about The Baiting House. The Salway Arms and Peacock Inn are both a short drive and well reviewed. And if you travel a bit further there are plenty or eateries from cafes to Michelin starred places in  and around Ludlow.
